Okay, So I have to tell you that I am soooooo thankful that there are
still people that are honest in this world!!!! Stu and I have been
doing the envelope method of paying for things. Which can be scary
because I'm the one in charge of the cash. I went to the bank this
week and had our cash in my purse in one of those bank envelopes that
they give you your cash in. I normally take it and organize the money
in their proper slots and I don't worry anymore with it. Well, I
never got around to putting them in their specific places this week.
So, Saturday morning between bball games, we went to breakfast. I
paid for our meal and don't remember anything else. I didn't need to
use my cash anymore that day. Today after church, I stopped by
Schlotzkie's to pick up sandwiches for our family and realized that
the envelope was gone. I could not find it anywhere. Tried not panic
and came home to look for it. Still no envelope. It took me a minute
to remember the last time I had used it, but came to the conclusion
that I had left it at the Marriott in Cool Springs.
I called and ask for the manager of the restaurant. THANK THE LORD,
it was the guy (Colby) who had taken care of us the day before. He
had looked at the envelope on the table and realized it had all that
cash in it. He put it somewhere safe so that no one else would have a
chance to take a little out and said he'd hoped we would call. Thank
you Colby!!!!!! It would be very tempting to just take the envelope
and keep it all to himself and NO ONE else would've known it. He
could've totally played dumb and acted like he didn't see it.
Thank you Lord for taking care of me even in my own irresponsibility.
Just thought i'd share that if you are cynical about people in this
world, know there are still those Colby's out there:)
Have a blessed day.
Denise
