Heartbreak In KC

In every thrilling finish in sporting events, there are two sides.
Tuesday night OCU ended up on the losing side. Ben Hunt hit a 3-pointer with two-tenths of a second remaining to beat the Stars in the NAIA National Championship game.

What a finish! Hunt, from Australia, can really shoot. He can shoot from my house in Oklahoma and . . . (you get the idea).
It was a great experience to broadcast the game for OCU. Did anybody tape the TV broadcast on CSTV? I would love to see it.

Click here to hear Julia on 91 FM. My former afternoon drive partner sat down and reminisced with Eva. I crashed the party in the final segment.

Citadel All-Stars Fall to Yukon PD, 42-30

YUKON, Okla. -- Poor shooting and turnovers doomed the Citadel All-Stars in a charity game with the Yukon Police Department.Bobby Thompson, of WWLS The Sports Animal, got the All-Stars within 1 at 8-7 in the first quarter. The YPD pulled away and led by 7 at the half, 22-15.
It was a great event and it was really cool to see the people helped by Special Olympics. Thanks for coming out!
The line on Roberts, 0-for-2 from the field, 2 rebounds and yes, one foul!

Return to 91 FM

Miss Eva, the morning DJ at 91 FM, was kind enough to have me in the studio to reminisce about the radio station. You can hear the audio here.
