Rich Mullins
Kid Brothers
Rich Mullins was a contemporary Christian musician with a dream to take the Good News of God's Love to the Native American reservation through the arts and music. Rich and his long-time writing partner and friend, Beaker, started Kid Brothers in the late ‘80s as a ministry to mentor other young men in the faith. In 1995, Rich moved to Tse Bonito, New Mexico, to put hands and feet to his dreams.
Only two years later, in September of 1997, Rich died in a car accident. Following his death, Rich's family and friends founded The Legacy Of A Kid Brother Of St. Frank to continue his mission. The Legacy's full- time missionaries, interns and volunteers have since developed a highly successful program of art, drama and music camps for Native American youth and provide a traveling music school serving remote areas of the reservations.
The Mullins family has decided to broaden their vision and will provide additional grants to non-profit organizations serving at-risk youth. The grants will be funded through Kid Brothers, the organization overseeing Rich's estate. Robin and David Mullins, Rich's sister-in-law and brother will serve as the grant administrators.
